Oh I know which one you mean, but now it’s getting me nervous not remembering the name.

I can't find them used, and on Amazon they are so expensive if available. |
I take them out at the library. If you’re in Monsey, Finkelstein Library has a ton of Jewish books.

She took a job as a lawyer so she could make sure Jews getting a divorce would have a get so their children wouldn’t suffer like she did. |
Also a good one. But sad. Don't remember the title.
There was a similar book with a happy ending by Ruth Benjamin - think the title is
Yesterday's Child.

Most Jewish books I like are due to nostalgia, to be perfectly honest.
That said, the original versions of the Avner Gold books still hold up quite well.
And I will always have a soft spot for Exiles of Crocodile Island.
Most of Sarah Birnhack's books have held up very well, too though I bet some would never be published nowadays without major rewrites (for frum reasons, not writing style obvi). |
I think the title is "The unanswered cry"
I loved that book too.

That's a book about a girl who finds out she was switched at birth and not really Jewish.
Also a good one.

I also remember a book called Yesterday's Child, but I can't recall what it was about.

Yesterday's Child is about a BT who needs to find out if he is a mamzer.
