As per Ricky Ricardo, figure about a pound per person. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Sorry, couldnโ€™t resist. I think about 2 cups.

A full 9x13? Definitely more than enough.
I would send 2 2 pounds containers.

I was gonna say that we are average eaters here but according to the replies here, I guess weโ€™re small eaters.
I do 1 cup rice that goes into a storage size bekele (one size smaller than 9x13) for 5 kids and 2 adults.

Yes. Itโ€™s the same one with Lucy eating the chocolates off of the conveyor belt. (They switched professions for a day).

2 cups raw in a 9x13 is perfect for that amount of people.

I take the rice and water and put it in the pan with some onion soup mix. I cover it with foil and bake at 400 until all the water is absorbed. Maybe 40 minutes.

I would make 3. Better too much than too little.

I make rice in a rice cooker and the minimum amount is 3 cups (dry) and I know visually how much the yield looks like -- I can't imagine putting less than that into a 9x13 pan. Maybe it makes a difference which type of rice it is. I typically make sushi rice more than any other type.

I double the amount of water. So 2 cups of rice would be 4 cups of water. I boil the water in kettle first. I always make rice in the oven! Never a pot anymore. I also often add small cut up veg to it before cooking. Peppers, mushrooms, onions etc. Its yum! I end up making plain (seasoned) rice for my picky eaters.

I do 3 cups of raw rice for a similar sized family but we always have left over and eat it the next night as well.

I put 3 cups of raw rice in a 9x13. Mix in a little oil (probably a 1-2 Tbs) and then add spices (I use onion soup mix and sometimes soy sauce as well)., Mix that all together so the rice is coated before you add the water. Then add 6 cups of water. Bake covered with an aluminum foil at 350 for at least an hour, may need 1 and half hours.

For 1 cup rice, use a smaller pan (but also deep like a 9x13).
I call it a 7x10 deep pan. It's also know as a 5 pound oblong. 1 cup rice, 2 cups water. About 50 minutes at 375. If you use boiling water, it takes 35 minutes.
If you're baking 2 cups at a time, use a 9x13 size pan.
