Neiman Marcus is closing its Last Call site, and running a huge sale.
Lafayette 148 skirts were marked down from $229 to $31, and from $319 to $43. I treated myself to a few skirts and a dress that I didn't really need, but will definitely enjoy for years, for pennies on the dollar.

That being said, I am very sad. I don't shop Frum stores and that was my store #2 after L&T. My DDs are now 17&19, how am I going to dress them?
I detest Zara, Macy's is not my taste and Saks/Bloomingdales I can't afford!

Its sad.
And because of Covid destroying our economy and Amazon even more stores will be closing their doors.
NOTHING like Lord and Taylors.

Its not closing entirely; the site will just be part of Neiman Marcus' main site.

I also loved Lord and Taylor.
Perhaps sometimes you'll find things at Nordstrom or Macy's? Not the same, I know. My favorite and cheapest buys (black skirt for $10! Gorgeous sweater for $20! Etc) were from L & T.

Except, of course, that Last Call / Neiman Marcus made this move in March, before covid.
L&T closed its Manhattan store in 2019, signaling real problems for the chain. Covid may not have helped, but it certainly wasn't the cause of L&T's downfall.
I'd be more concerned with small local stores, not huge chains.
