So it seems another casualty of the pandemic is a wig shortage because of problems with the supply chains.
Chinese and Indian hair is scarce. The article I read didn’t mention other sourcing locations.
Lace for lace wigs is also in short supply becaise most of it is made in Korea which had a lot of shut downs which hampered production.

yes! I heard this. I ordered a wig months ago still waiting. I was told the factories are empty!

The wig lady told me a month ago there will be a skin top shortage.

Yup! I ordered in early February, thinking I would have it "pretty soon."
First, it was Chinese New Year, so all the factories were closed.
Then it was COVID.
Then, once things started opening up again, there was still a piece for the sheitel needed from a factory in North Korea, and the border between North Korea and China was still closed.
Then, once the sheitel finally arrived by the seller in NY, she couldn't work on it because all of her kids were home and none of her staff could come in. I finally got it a week before R"H..... close to 6 months after I ordered it! I thought it would be about 6 weeks.
