Can someone who's btdt walk me through the process of applying to girls elementary schools? Do I just call the schools and ask for an application? When do I do this? Are there fees? Do I need to do anything else to make sure it's seen?
Please don't warn me about how hard it'll be. I just need some practical advice on how to go about it. Thank you so much!!!!!

Call the schools after succos and ask for an application. Fill it out and send it back by the deadline. Call anyone that can help u get in and have them call for u now and after succos and keep on pushing before and after interview

Agreed with PP.
Just adding.
If at all possible, do in and hand in the filled out application in person, preferably to a principal.
It helps them put a face to the name.

Just to continue answering your questions, the girls schools do have fees. Most do NOT cash the check unless they accept your child.
And just KEEP calling! Call to ask if they received the application, when they are scheduling interviews, them when you will hear back. Let them know how much you want to send there etc. make your name known. You dont need "pull" if you apply to places where you fit in. You need to stay on top of the process. Call REGULARLY (even daily). Have others call for your. Your mother, your brother, your mother in law, your father and father in law, your rav who otherwise has nothing to do with the school, etc.

Wow ok thank you so much! I have "pull" but I know that doesn't guarantee I get in. This pushiness is so against my nature but I guess I'll just have to do what I have to do.
