Yom Kippur afternoon I started feeling very weak and shaky. I lied down but it didn't help. I felt like I'm starting to pass out, my kids whispers sounded like loud shouts. I drank some shuirim of OJ because I was scared I'll faint on my kids. I feel so guilty, I'm ashamed to tell DH about it. What was I supposed to do??

Call your rav now and ask him. None of us are qualified to answer this.

You absolutely did the right thing! Your kids needed you and your job was to be there for them. What if CH"V you had fainted and somebody got hurt?
Don't feel guilty for a second, any rav would have told you to break your fast if you were really feeling that awful
I don't see a need to ask your rav now unless you're looking for guidance on what to do if it happens again

Shiurim is still considered fasting. If you were truly feeling faint, I wouldn't beat myself up too badly.

What do I have out of asking a Rav now? I'm so embarrassed.

You were supposed to do exactly what you did. Yom Kippur is not meant to put you in the hospital.

Water and simple food shiurim may have been preferable, but that's nitpicking. You kept shiurim, so you still kept the fast, and you kept your health too.

Yeah, I was starting to black out. I can't stop thinking about it.

Oh. But DH calls with all questions and I'm too embarrassed to tell DH about it.

On Yom Kippur, if someone says "I need to eat," we bring them food without question. An individual is considered to know his own needs better than outside professionals.

I don't fast well in general. And I was on my feet most of the day taking care of the kids.
I tried a caffeine Tylenol suppository and I think that made me dizzy.
Thanks everyone for making me feel a bit better.

I can't say for sure, but I suspect you will feel better if you talk this through with a rabbi. If it makes you less anxious, you could do so anonymously with a rabbi who is not your LOR.

I’m no rav, but feeling faint is the time to break it, or on yk do shiurim. Btw any liquid is ok, not just water. Even food if needed.

You should ask a rav what to do so you know for next time. What I would have done, or what you should have done, is now irrelevant.

Shiurim is NOT just like fasting! I was told one year that it’s better for my husband to stay home from shul all day, take care of the kids and me, rather than fast with shiurim.
(I have this issue when pregnant and know for myself lying down on the floor very still with feet elevated for a few minutes and the feeling passes.)

With Covid going around, even if you don't have a confirmed test, the vast majority of Orthodox rabbis put out a statement that IF YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL, YOU CAN BREAK YOUR FAST.

If you have confirmed Covid, you are NOT ALLOWED TO FAST AT ALL.

Rabbonim are taking health issues very seriously this year. Even if you are not entirely sure.

I am not a rabbi or a doctor, but I would think that almost blacking out would qualify as a reason to get your blood sugar back in balance. When you have young children who depend on you for their safety, you being unconscious is very dangerous for everyone involved.
