Where are you located?
I absolutely love the custom crib I got as a gift, but I'd never spend on it myself. (Was around $800.)
I was at Buy Buy Baby recently and they had some nice stuff that were slightly more affordable. (Around $350)
My aunt got hers on Amazon for less than $200 and she used it for two kids, she just upgraded the mattress. It's all about taste and budget.

it was less then $200. honestly the kids bite the rail anyways why would you spend so much? You actually think other cribs are not safe?
