This new lockdown is for (hopefully) 14 days. When was the official first day of school closures? Need to know when I can at least dream of my kids returning to school.

Last lockdown was also for "only" 14 days. I dont trust the mayor or governor to reopen in 2 weeks.

Don’t be ridiculous! If you’re school is closing now, get ready to homeschool all year,

Lockdown started last Thu, I think. Did they say 2 weeks? Or 2-4 weeks?
My 2 cents - by the time 2 weeks are up, there'll be a bigger uptick because of Succos, and in other, non Jewish areas as well.

In person
In school building
Reddest area.
I’m too exhausted arguing with the people in my community.
I look like the idiot, so I don’t even talk anymore.

Don’t argue and keep your kids home. It’s a free country.

I don't live in NYC, so I am not do up-to-date on all the rules, but is school reopening not dependent on a certain positivity rate (as opposed to a calendar date)?

I bet it's in Boro park Sad (I know, I'm a racist,
an antisemite, and the biggest Jew hater lol).
This is awful. And you know what, I wouldn't feel bad for a second if/when it's reported. And no, if the reporter, he/she definitely isn't in moiser in my book.

What an absolutely idiotic post. Opening the school when they were closed by the city/state is moronic.

Nope. Its dependent on our King Cuomo who has shut down these "zones" until after election day. Looking forward to Nov 4 when all of this will disappear and life will go back to normal. Unless Trump wins of course, in that case we are doomed forever.

The idiotic thing is that you're posting about it.

It's not easy to keep one's kids home when the school is open. Social pressure, kids' pressure, I bet the school won't be pleased with that. But sure, blame her and not the school. Sigh

Not in BP and doing the same tomorrow. Basically defying orders and business as usual.

THIS

I've been dealing with this since April.

The schools don't give options for parents who want or need to keep their kids home. This wonderful community of chessed is doing worse than public schools in this regard.

I was waiting for that. Thanks for bringing it up so quickly.
Cause only this little post makes our society look loony.
And if my post closes the schools, I will be very proud of myself.
