I've been trying to print the kids' school stuff all morning and am in tears.
PLEASE recommend a reliable printer that uses cheap ink, and works well, has wifi, and is user friendly!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!

I've been very happy with the Brother MFC 2710. It's an all-in-one, so if you don't need the extra features and don't want to pay for them, I'm sure there's a printer-only equivalent. The wifi is 100% reliable. For ink, we buy 3rd-party cartridges (I believe Linkyo) that are very cheap and work just as well as the name brand.

I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 9015. It was the recommended printer on The Wirecutter review.
I can print from both my computer and my phone, and it was easy to set up myself.

Hugs OP! That's so frustrating!
No recommendation on a printer but perhaps 2 temporary solutions. Many printers have a cable that you hook up to the computer directly if the wifi isn't behaving. You may also have a USB slot and an option to print from USB. Then save the files on the USB and plug it in to the printer.
Good luck! It's the most frustrating thing in the world!
