I am wondering if anyone who has diamond solitaire earings can tell me what an average karat size is for such diamonds? Something middle of the road, not too small but not too extravagant either?

I've seen some are smaller but with a halo around it. Are those as classy as the simple solitaire? In your opinion can they be worn for everyday?

The problem with smaller studs is you can’t see them well from under my sheitel. They get lost in all the hair. If I only wore mitpachot for example, I might think otherwise.
