This was Suri Halpert and Raizy Berkowitz! Remember they were wearing gowns by opening night? And long curly hair? Mrs. Ungar made them put their hair in a pony! Haha
Oh this is just what I need. Can't post under my SN for specific reasons. Looking forward to post more.
Anyone else have horror memories regarding Mrs. Blooming?

Oh god Mrs. Bluming, those piercing eyes!! We were bored stiff throughout her long lectures but somehow she's such an honored speaker out in the world! She wore the same clothing for all 9 summers I was there. Mrs. Ungar as well. Mrs. Spiegel was usually in maternity
Who else has such amazing memories of the major plays...?
The way Mr. Kessler and Mr. Spitzer were so involved with all the heavy props...
The Lebowitz girl drawing breathtaking scenery...
Mrs. Spitzer doing all the actresses' makeup...
All the married staff sitting at major rehearsal taking notes...

Was that also the year that the music was too bummy??
We used to sing 123 mechayyyyyyuuuuu and mrs Ungar kept mussering the yyyyuuuuu part.
I think that was the best year in terms of head counselors spirit and creativity. Remember their stage setup? Every day was so cute!

And then I think it was Mrs. Bluming that decided that we can't wear makeup at the plays anymore! We got red ices before the plays to make our lips a little red. We looked like ghosts on stage without makeup and the heavy spotlights shining on us.
Oh god, I thought I was the only amother that went to Viznitz camp!! I can still smell the carpet, eeewwwww.
Were you there in the times of Leah Mermelstein a'h?
Remember the fear and everyone fleeing to their beds and pretending to sleep when Mrs. Berger came?
Mrs. Ungars sharp tongue is still in my bones.
Yes to all of the above.
I am 33.
I was a TC in 2003
Staff member in 2004
My first year was 讞讬诇 讚 I guess that would be 1996?
"Yiddishe kinder zugen nisht wow, in machane bnos yisroel inz gayen zugen yay..."
Yup! I remember that one.
And remember every time we had competition with a different camp Mrs. Ungar made it her duty to announce on the mike 诪讞谞讛 讘谞讜转 讬砖专讗诇 砖讟讗诇爪讬专讟 讝讬讱 讗讬谉 专注讚谉 谞讗专 讗讬讚讬砖!!!

Yes. I sang it on the mike each time off stage. Mrs. Blooming spent hours of alone time with me to "practice" forcing me to repeat that phrase over and over to ensure I wasn't singing it bummy. And somehow no matter how hard I tried I sang too pretty and she wasn't satisfied.
Aaaah and my "um shifchee lifuunuv" solo. I was brave as ever to stare down the crowd. I am still brave as ever now. Didn't change.
Hi to all my friends 馃憢
