It's honestly neglectful not to teach your toddler to drive. Do you want her to lack a basic skill and crash the car when she gets in the driver's seat?

As long as you have your monitor plugged in you can enjoy your dinner in peace. Worst case he collides with my toddler.

There's a device you can have installed in you car on the steering wheel that gives you hand controls. Back in the day when we were kids, we used to sit on phone books when we couldn't see over the dashboard.

Ive taught my toddler to drive. Im a major safety advocate, therefore I got her a self driving Tesla and of course I make sure she is strapped into her carseat. We have a DashCam installed which I monitor, and I can help her navigate when she makes wrong turns (shes not really reading street signs yet) remotely. She loves her independence, I love the safety, so its a win - win situation

Totally irresponsible! Many toddlers still have bottles. You know how bad it is to drink and drive!!!

What’s wrong with y’all, a bunch of helicopter parents.. relax, let them do their thing, our parents let us babysit and cook dinner at age 4 for the three younger kids and we all turned out fine. Plus I know someone who left their kid in the bath without a monitor and nothing happened so that is research based evidence that this is 100% safe.

Have you lost your mind? Then there will be another person in the household that will be hogging the car!
Only teach if you're going to buy another car. Otherwise you'll never go anywhere.

I really don’t think it’s fair to answer that question.
It’s so cultural. In some circles it’s totally ok and we shouldn’t judge.

In my circles, we only allow little boys to drive. Even though tznius is not an issue for girls that young, we want to be them mechanech right from the beginning.

I don’t get it. Why are you asking here?
You do you. What’s a difference what others think.

Also. I can just imagine the premiums on your car insurance with a student driver.

I should probably go anonymous but I actually have put my 4 year old on my lap and let her hold the wheel with me as I drove a few feet. She absolutely loved it.

The kid (now older adult) remained brain damaged in a vegetative condition.
