I just bought a gorgeous pink dress for shabbos. It is clearly for winter since its a wooly fur type of fabric. But when I went to go put it on today it suddenly occurred to me that I have no idea what color tights match!
I cant wear pantihose with it since its wintery and I want to be able to wear it with ankle boots.
Gray tights looked ok but it didn't look shabbosdik..black tights looked funny.
Is black tights and black boots ok with a pink dress?
So I just didn't wear it.
But I really love it and want to wear it.
I also bought a silvery sparkly light gray dress in a fuzzy type fabric . What color tights goes with that?

I love brown and pink. Jackie O would wear such combination. Very regal! Brown shoes.
Gray is also fine, it’s just a trendier.

Gorgeous. Just find the right shoes and accessories to pull it all together. This type of things needs a bit more than just black tights and black shoes. It's the overall look of the combination, so the shoes have to be just so,
and the tights extra opaque.

Hmm yeah in those pics the pink and black actually looks kind of cool.
To poster above- do people wear pantihose in the winter ? I always thought once cold no more pantihose.
I was debating pantihose and ankle boots but then thought that would look even worse than black tights and black boots.

Lol! One of my friends explained to me this week that in the United states, it's considered socially off to wear nudes in the winter!

I thought it didn't look very shabbosdik with pink dress but for weekday I wear gray tights all the time.

I am American, and while this may be true in Lakewood or Brooklyn, this is not true for the whole vast country!
I also love pink and brown, but I don't think I live in the "right" area to be giving out advice.

I think a stone color might go
A little darker than nude and not pantyhose but tights
Something dark neutral and matching shoes to tights

I got pink winter dresses for my girls too. I bought light gray tights and light gray shoes. They go nicely and seem to go with other outfits as well.

It’s for sure out for Shabbos. It’s almost all the way out for weekday  I’m sorry . Unless you’re going monochrome. So gray on gray on gray...
Look, you do you! Don’t let fashion define you (unless you want it to. In that case, still do you  ). I definitely will not judge you. You can come to my house in gray tights, and we will exchange recipes or something.

I am assuming sheer black stockings will be coming back in style at some point. (In the frum world, that is, they never went out in the secular world.)
That would actually work pretty well, color wise.

I've seen a lot black tights & shoes with a pink dress. I think it looks very good. Grey & Brown are basically out of style, especially for shabbos.
