hi, I started a low calorie diet (I also try to avoid white flour, white sugar but not completely).
I'm trying for 1300 calories per day, and allotting more for Shabbos.
looking for some low calorie meal options; here are 2 that I came up with:

Breakfast:
1 piece whole wheat toast - 60 calories
1 egg- 72 calories
1 egg white - 17 calories
1 tbs. avocado (spread on toast with sea salt) -18 calories
coffee with zero calorie sweeter- 8 calories
TOTAL: 175

Lunch:
Half of a cooked bag of Lite Pasta spirals (fills a huge bowlful) 200 calories
Barilla Marinara Sauce, 1/2 cup- 50 calories
1 tbs. skim milk- 5 calories
1 tbs. low fat shredded cheese- 34 calories
microwave all ingredients together and you have amazing baked ziti!!
TOTAL: 289

anyone have more ideas?
please share!!

In general I find egg whites to be a great source of very low calorie high protein. So egg white omelet with veggies is a great meal.

That sounds great, even though I like to incorporate a whole grain into the meal, maybe an egg white vegetable omelet on toast!!

Base your meals around vegetables
Breakfast with egg white and toast is great
Lunch have a large salad with a little bit of protein
Dinner lots of salad grilled veg and/or low calorie soup
Small piece of chicken or fish
Small amount of healthy grain

The problem is if you spike insulin you will trigger hunger and this may derail you.

For breakfast I would suggest
2 jumbo eggs - whole = 200 cal
A big green salad = 39 cal/ 8 oz
1 TBSP Olive oil = 120 cal
Coffee
Unsweetened almond milk only 35 calories for 1 cup

Even though this may bring you to almost 400calories it will keep you full longer with less of an insulin spike. This way you skip snacks in between
If you eat 3 meals of 400 cal ea= 1200

all these ideas are great!!
what would cause the insulin spike with these ideas? I know soda/slurpees/candy can do that...I had a friend who had gestational diabetes and she worked closely with a nutritionist, and of course every person gets different guidance, but the general idea was to balance whole grains with protein/fat. meaning just the protein/fat wasn't recommended, because it wasn't balanced.
I was doing low carb for a bunch of years and I started this low calorie a few months ago, I like it much better, I find I'm not craving carbs anymore. I'm a little burnt out of eating only salad and protein so I'm looking to hear a bunch of new ideas that low calorie and healthy (but not a chicken salad please!!)

I found these power of wholesome oat chocolate chip muffins in evergreens freezer- they are 145 calories, personally I only like them warmed with a coffee, so this doesn't work for on the go, but it's a great snack/mini meal for me.

Check menus for the HCG diet. They run about 500 calories a day, and I lost a lot of weight with it.

If you stick to protein, dark green vegetables, and berries, you can't go wrong. I found that turkey stalled my weight loss pretty badly, probably because of the tryptophan. Chicken, meat, and lean fish are best. No canned tuna!

All carbs spike insulin - so your bread, but I don't see why you should avoid it if you don't feel sick with it. Could you do no sugar in coffee? the fake sweeteners also encourage cravings.
