Also, can anyone tell me more about tiferes chaya and bnos Hadassah? | tiferes Chaya is a bit of a cross between Vien/bais brocho/nesivos in bp. They do a litvish Havara and semi litvish yiddish. They recently cracked down on smartphones. It’s very, very hard to get into. Bnos haddassah has a more Heimish/yeshivish clientele, not as chassidish.

amother [ OP ] wrote: | Why would I choose Yesodei Hatorah over say Masores Avos, which someone else mentioned? Or Tiferes Yechiel? I don't know anything about any of those, just trying to figure out which is a better fit. | over mesoras Avos because mesoras avos is murder to get into unless you have loads of $$$ or other significant pull. It is also older and more established than Tiferes Yechiel, which is only open for 1 year afaik.

Aside for the fact that it's hard to get in to Mesoras Avos, is it considered a better cheder than Yesodei Hatorah? Or are they similar in most aspects?

A lot of people who don’t get into mesoras avos end up in yesodei hatorah.

My friend sends to darchai avoseinu she sounds slit exactly how you describe. Alot of the boys coming from boro park are this type. Younger grades more chasidish than older. She is very happy there. They just moved to a new building so they might accept more kids. Very warm small yeshivah. Has all grades. Education is good in both yiddish and english.
