Oh the sweetness of "zzz" in mid of "lecho dodi" is better than his sleep in his bed all night....
The desire to be called up to the "amud" to "throat sing" by that wooden table, (podium) (balemer) just for the "oilem" (crowd) to plotz.
( it's a kavod to lead the davening, but once you are up there, you try to stretch your honor by stretching every word, thinking you are world's greatest singer & everyone is enjoying every moment, but fact is that the crowd is plotzing & wants to continue with normal davening to finish at a normal hour or don't enjoy your voice so much )

That's why google translate word for word doesn't work.
Take for example the word krach- which literally means crash but in slang means to plotz.
Or the word bretel- which means a piece of wood, but here we understand it to mean the podium.

Oh to be called up to be "oileh" for "shishi", or to be seated at the mizrach wall, or to pledge/spend a treasure trove on maftur yonah

To omit "tachnun"or the long "yotzros", to be the first one to shout out " yaaloh vyavo" or the geshmak of making kiddush by "leining"

Oh the liveliness, of correcting the chazan when he made a mistake of the "tropen" , or shouting chazzak or stamping out amalek, with a forceful anger, or throwing that candy at the chosson, after the storm of candies has stopped.

Eta They took word חיות & translated to animals instead of liveliness

Well, in my family, we already have single-use*, disposable tights and socks. I guess we’re ahead of the times.

*ok, so I’m exaggerating. But just slightly.

My favorite line of the song. (Maybe because it’s one of the very few non-male-centric ones.) So true.

That google translation cracked me up LOL & I didn’t even read the whole thing.

I love the song but happen to think it’s a bit of a chuizek on some yiddishkeit aspects/minhagim because some things are just more than just a “tavah”

I may have an unpopular opinion about this, but I’m not shy to share it here Wink

Yup. And one DS wears disposable shoes. I wish the price for THAT would match up!

Not word for word just general

When going away for yt, make sure everyone knows that you are going to the "country" bungalow colony/winterized homes in Catskills, or overseas. When you return make sure to "bentch goimel" by the biggest minyan, so everyone can ask "where were you? "
A snuff of tobacco leaves, only a Jewish concept.
When Hatzolah takes a patient to hospital " make sure to gather around & ask "what happened" ( like a typical yenta)
The geshmak of taking "two" towels at the mikva, (if it's free, why not) or stoking the fire at שריפת חמץ with a broom stick, so it should burn better, or klapping the oisgeklapte hoshanas, just one more klap, so all the leaves should fly all over the place
