Both my husband and I have health challenges and therefore we aren't able to be as productive as others. We aren't coping financially and need some ideas.

Bec of our health issues we also pay more for food and vitamins and need a little extra to cope (physical and mental health issues)

Keep trying to figure out ways to cut but I'm drawing a blank.

Please help me.

If you haven't yet, start by reading up on Dave Ramsey.

I've listened to him, but he tells you not to buy things you can't afford. What if you need it?

Does he have anything to offer me? Can you give me one idea bec really not up to reading right now.

Is there a way you can increase your income?
Maybe by working from home?

Are you able to get food boxes from the schools? They’re going through the end of this year.
And Tomchei has a Chodesh food order that many people order from. At cost.

You may want to make an appointment at Mesila. They can be helpful with this kind of stuff.

Mesilla has great tips on how to cut from your budget and try to increase your financial income.
It costs money. They might help sponsor the expense for the course.
They might be able to help out with grocery expenses.

Tomchei shabbos gives shabbos food box weekly with shabbos basics.

Vitamins are mostly a waste of money. Are you seeing medical professionals?

Can you elaborate on what you spend money on? Maybe someone has info on how/where to get it cheaper?

What is your lifestyle and what are your expenses?
Do you pay for phone service? We use obi so free phone through our internet. It's a one time fee of $50 for the device then $0 monthly.
If you have internet can you find out if there are reduced rates for low income through specific providers - I don't know your area.
What is your cell phone plan? There are free and low cost options
Do you spend on clothing?
Do you shop sales for food?
If you shop online go through cashback links.

Could either of you qualify for SSI?
Are there any organizations in your area that could help with medical expenses?
If you live in Monsey, call Tomchei Shabbos, they may have ideas for you beyond Shabbos boxes.

Do you live with a chronic illness that you can dare to give such advice?

Family of 4. Spending about 1200 a month on groceries (including disposable, tissues etc..) (I think I spend too much?)
Rent 1250 a month
Tuition 400 a month
Car I think 300 a month. Maybe more plus gas.
Vitamins maybe 500 a month between the whole family, maybe more
Utilities I don't know
Clothing I shop in the cheaper stores
Internet and phones come out to between 200 and 300 a month I think
And cc debt, and owe ppl money....

I buy mostly in Wal-Mart, children's place, Amazon. I buy shabbos clothing in the cheaper Jewish stores.
