What do you think, fact or fiction? We all know that it’s a fact that you don’t gain weight on shabbos, but what about the calories from your birthday cake? I think you don’t. Someone else’s birthday cake, yes, yours, no!
Got any fact or fictions?

That's not at all how it works with a birthday cake! It doesn't matter whose birthday it is - you lose half a pound for every slice that you eat regardless. Oh, and if it's an ice cream cake, then you lose a full pound for every slice. (as long as it's not melted...there's conflicting research that has yet to be resolved about that...)

my friend and I used to say that broken chocolate chip cookies don't have any calories because they fall out of the cookie when it breaks. Definitely a fiction though sorry

That's def not fiction. Broken cookies most certainly do not have calories.

My grandmother was a diabetic and she used to only eat the edges of the cake. But like, lots of edges. My mother used to tell her, Ma, with all your edges you're eating more than the rest of us!
I guess she thought the sugar didn't count if it was just the edges...

Eating at mama's house doesn't make you gain weight.
