This is my list of wants:

Decent mattress (not flimsy and too thin)
Bed height so easy to take out and put back in
Not too big so can fit in a smallish room but should be good for a few months
Storage space for diapers, wipes, change of clothes for the middle of the night
Not crazy expensive.

Any suggestions? My head is swimming and can’t zero in on any options.

I got the halo as a gift, so I don’t know how much it costs. It’s amazing. The side bends down so you can roll your baby into your bed.

After tons of research I just bought this

Bedside Bassinet for Baby | Bedside Sleeper for Baby Allows Safe Cosleeping at Arms Reach | Portable Baby Bed | Includes Hypoallergenic Mattress & Waterproof Fitted Crib Sheets | CPSC Approved https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W.....psc=1

Didn’t put it together yet as it just arrived but I will try to come back to post a review if I remember.

Everyone raves about it but why? What’s so great? What about storing diapers and wipes etc?

Halo is great. It can easily swivel onto the edge of your bed and away from your bed. It has a drop down side so if you don’t have to reach over the edge to get your baby, especially great for post c-section.

I’ve found that when babies are small enough to be in a bassinet there’s room for a couple of diapers and some wipes at the foot of the bassinet.

One of the reasons I didn’t get it is because the side doesn’t stay open.

So far seems perfect.. except.. there are no wheels. Which is annoying for me, but it depends on your needs. I still would probably choose this over others as it seems to fit the rest of my criteria. I can easily reach my arm into the bassinet to hold on to him or soothe him, and it’s easy to lift him out for middle of the night feedings. There is a storage area on bottom as well. Hope this is helpful, and please feel free to ask me any questions about it!

I am currently loking into rhe maxi cosi Iora. It has storage, height is adjustable, side can open.
It has no wheels, which seems to be the only downside.

That’s because it’s not meant to mimic a co-sleeper, it’s meant for Easy access.
