Stubborn, maybe. But what can I do? We Jews are made that way.

You had good intentions. But thanks for taking the feedback and stopping.

Selfish because you think it’s right and it makes you feel good.

BTW, I consider the title "Is someone in need of love?" kind of passive aggressive, because it kind of didn't sound like anyone was offering.

Everyone has to do what they think is right. It simply doesn't make sense to do what one doesn't think is right.

It’s good to be stubborn if you use it when it’s appropriate to be stubborn. I agree.

It doesn't make sense to expect people to do what they believe to be wrong.

Sometimes relying on what one thinks is right is not appropriate, and one has to take advice and try to see a wider view to judge if it is really right or not.
I'm glad you have taken the majority opinion into account rather than insisting that what you feel is right has to be right.

No, advice and trying to take a wider view may affect what you think is right, but it's still weird as heck to go against your own beliefs.

A mature person's beliefs may be based on different viewpoints. But once those beliefs exists, a person cannot be true to him or herself and go against them.

Can someone please explain what’s going on? Wasn’t on imamother for the last few days but I’m so curious what this is all about.
TIA
