I Read somewhere that visiting his kever for 40 days was a segula for shidduchim. Has anyone heard of this? Had any personal experience?

I haven't, and I wish you hatzlacha and may Hashem be memalei kol mishalos libeich l'tova.
Planning on doing anything outside one's immediate home for 40 days might not be so practical now; if someone tries it, just be prepared for possible disappointment.
Also, maybe move this to the shidduchim forum so people can go amother.

His kever has become very commercialized over the last few years. I would be wary of newly heard segulas from him.

OP, he has been a very good shaliach for a lot of people needing yeshuos.
Ultimately, you have to remember that everything comes from Hashem. If you want the Tzaddik to intervene on your behalf, I would say go for it. You have nothing to lose, just gain by it.

I know someone personally who had two older single sons, she went to ribnitz kever for 40 days, and then both of them got engaged at the same time
