I feel like my kids can go to sleep earlier than they do in the summer and still have a harder time getting up in the mornings. Anyone else?

Yes, and I think it applies to adults as well! Nights are longer for a reason.

Kind of how animals hibernate in winter. Our metabolisms slow down too.

It’s dark outside both earlier in the evening and later in the morning. No sun streaming in to wake you up

Winter conditions make everyone sleepy. It’s cold and dark. Tempting blanket season

When the clock changed I moved their bedtime an hour earlier. It’s awesome!
They’re sleeping at 7. And they still wake up good timing, but early enough to get me out of bed

I just noticed this about my kid also. She sleeps more at night plus super long naps, and is still seemingly tired. I also think the lack of fresh air and outdoor play affects it.
