I'd be too freaked out. As a side note, would there be any halachic ramifications of leaving Earth? I know the question has been discussed before.

There might be. I once heard that Jews shouldn't go to space because "Hashamayim shamayim l'Hashem".

I anyways wouldn't want to live in space - I like gravity!

Eh, what about commercial airplanes? They're above the clouds. I'll bet when air travel became a reality, rabbonim were asking the same shailas.

I wouldn’t want to live there permanently, but I would definitely take at least one trip just to experience it...

I know there are halachic ramifications for men, mostly based on the fact that there isn’t a time system in space and so many mitzvos depend on time. Since women aren’t mechayev in mitzvos aseh shehazman gerama, that shouldn’t be an issue - though I’m no posek.

When it gets that cheap I’ll ask the relevant sheilos! Very Happy

That's an interesting point. Outer space is a bit higher than airplanes go, but now I'm really curious what it was like when they were first invented...
