I’ll bite with the numbers that people here are too shy to say they spend.
5 year old boy- $130- veja sneakers, $50- zeebra loafers for shabbos
8 year old boy- $80- Nike sneakers, $120- venettini shabbos shoe
10 year old girl- $120 venettini booties, $50 zeebra shabbos shoes
12 year old boy- $100 Nike sneakers, $120 venettini shabbos shoes.
And basically again for summer season.

3 boys preschool - lower elementary
About $35 -45 sneakers x 2 per a year for each one (my kids love a certain brand and their usually in that price range)
About $20-$45 x 1 per year for shabbos shoes for each one (usually I just search Amazon for them)
Natives $40 1 pair a year (yes I know I could just get an off brand if I want to save money... I just happened to like the brand name and can afford them ) But I do pass them on so usually get 1-2 pairs per year and so not a new one for each child
Boots - I have a neighbor who usually passes on her kids boots to me. Their in great condition since kids don't wear them so much (just when it snows)so I almost never buy... When I do I probably spend around $40-50
So altogether I guess around $130-$175 per child (alittle more if I buy boots and alittle less if I don't need to buy them natives)
My in-laws somtimes like to sponsor shoes in a local jewish shoe store so I am somtimes part of the crowd that goes there and buys $90 shoes. They honestly last the same long as the $40 ones I buy though... so the only benefit I could see is of the more expensive one is having a brand name.

I have 3 girls:
all of them got about $100 weekday winter shoes
all of them got $75 winter shabbos
2 of them got new natives $30 each
one got new rain boots $25
for summer I buy cheap sneakers and they usually go thru 2 pairs for about $15/$20 a pair
and summer shabbos shoes $75 unless I manage to get on sale for about $40/$50
Dh gets new shabbos shoes every year and a half. just bought on sale for $100 (the ones from 2 years ago were $300...)
and his weekday shoes he gets every 6-12 months for $50-100 whatever we find on sale
I normally get a new pair for shabbos and weekday for winter and summer for $100-$180 each.
this season I treated myself to new slippers (haven't bought in six years) for $70

My toddler - 200$ (120$ for booties 70ish for shoes that he actually wears)
Definitely excessive but my friend own the shoe store so I didn’t feel like this was a place I wanted to cut back- other seasons I will probably aim to buy just one pair by her.
I buy a pair for about 40$ Flats each season (it’s originally 200 but I buy when I find it on clearance). This year I found boots for 90$ also. Last year I bought hunters. So it varies but around 200-300$ for the year I would say? Probably less because in the summer I just get the flats

Lucky you - my kids grew like three sizes over corona - which makes a lot of sense considering it was like five years .

It really depends on the deals I find each season. I like nice shoes but I can’t pay full price for them, so I shop around.
This season I got my 2 elementary school girls their shabbos shoes (Venettini) for about $30 each. Their weekday loafers were $50 each.
Little boys got Zara sneakers for under $40. I snagged Venettini shabbos loafers for $48 for one of them, and my toddler’s shabbos Venettinis cost $66, which I guess is the most I paid for any pair of kids’ shoes this season.
I am not going to talk about my shoes, though... 🙈

Brooklyn shoe store
14 yr old girl
$150 for everyday
$175 shabbos
Stylish Shoes are verrry important for her.
12yr old
$150 for everyday
$150 for shabbos
9yr old son
$140 everyday loafers
Shabbos is still good from pesach
6yr old son
$140 loafers for everyday
$74 for shabbos
Highway robbery, indeed.
Both of my daughters wore their shabbos shoes for a full year so small comfort there. Also due to corona and no school we only got cheap sneakers for the summer as opposed to getting new day shoes for pesach.

I have an excel sheet to help me track my expenses. From June 2019- May 2020 we averaged $30/month for four kids. From June 2020 up until today we averaged $43/month for the same four kids. So it's in $400-500 range per year. Some years we get Shabbos shoes for the little ones for very cheap or even hand-me-downs. Some years we need to buy boots for everyone (they usually last 2 years). Some years we get better deals at the school shoes sales. Other years a shoe breaks from one day to the next and with no choice we plunk down the 85 bucks in a heimishe store.
For myself I spent an average of $10/month since my slippers and boots are more expensive than my kids' and I need a greater selection (I.e. not just one weekday shoe) but on average I spend no more than 20-30 on a pair of shoes both weekday and Shabbos.

Oh and my daughter came home today that EVERYONE has expensive leather boots. That is in addition to the rain boots they already have (going on the third season, thankfully)

LOL! It does feel like 5 years.
My kids are asking for new Shabbos shoes because those are tight, but we don't go anywhere so I keep pushing it off. Their sneakers and crocs are fine. We're always home.

In 2020:
Oldest son got 1 pair of loafers 57.04, 1 pair shabbos shoes 29.99, 1 pair slides 13.99, 1 pair sneakers 27.99. That's about $135.
Next son: 1 pair shabbos shoes 27.31, 1 pair sneakers 41.39, 1 pair off brand natives 20.99, 1 pair slides 18.70, 1 pair loafers 24.53. Around $135 too.
Let's try my tween girl. Loafers 31.27. Second pair was $10. Shabbos shoes 23.99 Second pair of shabbos shoes 25.99 Off brand natives $13. Used boots $12 Crocs 19.04 Sneakers free from a cousin who didn't fit into them after wearing them once. So like $150 and this is with her growth spurt (in my kids it means new shoes in 6 months instead of 9 😂 )
I can't imagine my younger kids were any more than my oldest few.

We were just forced to buy shoes a couple of weeks ago because one of my children needed new sneakers. The stores had just opened up and were only allowed to admit 4 customers per store. We waited on line for an hour just to get in. Cost about $US 70.
When my older kids need sneakers it will cost more. We are waiting until things open a little more.
