I am thinking about doing babysitting or a playgroup for babies or toddlers up to age 2 in Flatbush/Midwood area. How does it work here? What is the going rate? Is there a demand or is it hard to get a group together. What hours do people want and/or need? How many kids is the ideal number in a group?

Regarding demand: The best way to find out is to ask your neighbors if they would want a playgroup or if there is already another one nearby.
Regarding hours: Some go from 9-5 and charge extra if a parent wants to drop kids off an hour early or leave kids an hour late. Others just charge parents by the hour.
Ideal Number: I think there may be laws about the number of children you can watch at a time. I don't recall how many it said, but you can probably Google it.
