I'm wondering how important do you think it is to discipline your kids. By discipline I mean teaching right from wrong, training them to be independent, help out, share, care for others, keep Torah and Mitzvos, speak respectfully, get along with others, be responsible, be safe and more....
I'm wondering what percentage of ppl 1-discipline reflexively 2-discipline with forethought 3-dont think it's that important. Love trumps all at the end of the day.
Me personally, I do all 3 but my intention is to discipline consciously.

I think After showing love it’s the most important thing. If I raise a spoiled and entitled Brat I will have considered it a failure

Meforshim hold that the reason Dovid Hamelech's son rebelled was that he was never disciplined as a child - even though he hadn't done anything deserving of discipline. That's how important it is.
It's because we love our children and know what is best for them that we discipline them.
