I follow a few challoh recipes but all come out with a harder crust, I know this wont make me popular but I do not like crusty challos! The inside is yum and soft.. Anybody have ideas how to make a challa crust less crispy?
Thanks in advance !

bake less. do not spread eggs or oil (or limit). workaround with flour as opposed to oil. do not spray pan with oil.

I really don't know, just thinking of what I do and advise you the contrary LOL

Better yet, stick into a ziploc soon after taking out from the oven when it's warm enough to handle. The excess moisture will be trapped in the bag making the crust soft.
