Ds struggling with grades and tests in high school. He's very bright and used to get good grades simply by sitting in class. But now he's struggling.
I think he doesn't know how to take notes and doesn't study properly.
He doesn't need a tutor, he has no trouble with comprehension or memorization.
Basically, he needs to have better classroom organization skills, note taking skills and study skills. Are there tutors that focus on those skills? Or books? Or any other suggestions?

Where I teach, girls are always borrowing notes from each other and studying together. Maybe this is the simplest solution.

Is he motivated to change? Can he meet with a skills teacher?
My DDs HS has a resource room department with teachers/guidance counselors who assist with that
