I’m reading all these threads about how to make channukah fun for your family when you have kids etc.

For those of you who let’s say only have one very young child (baby/toddler) do you do anything special for Channukah? Any fun ideas? Would love to make it more exciting this year especially given covid.

My little ones love dancing and singing right after we light the menorah.

This. My oldest is 4, and my kids sing and dance with DH after menorah lighting. Last year, I also gave them a bag of chocolate coins each night, and they are already expecting it this year too.

At that age we decorated with chanukah stickers, played dreidel ( got big wooden ones that weren't a choking hazard ), made fun food, chanukah coloring books, toy menorah, sing chanukah songs, playdough with chanukah shapes

Cute idea! She loves coloring and cookies so I’m sure she’d enjoy that

My husband and I go to Walmart, set a budget of 20$ each and split up to buy each other presents for each night of Chanukah. We check out separately and then wrap them when we get home. Each night we each pick from the stack of surprise wrapped presents picked out and wrapped by the other person. It’s so fun!

My DD was 2 last chanukah. she LOVED the singing and dancing! We did it every night. We also helped her light her own chanukiah and made a big deal of it.
I bought her special chanukah themed art projects, coloring sheets, etc. And of course latkes and sufganiyot.
