Hi! I’m looking for good titles (prefer Jewish ones could be secular ones as well) for books set in the early 1900s pre WW1.
I’m looking for books with a European background specifically talking about characters joining socialist/Zionist groups.
Thanks!

Exodus by Leon Uris. It encompasses a lot more, but definitely covers that aspect.

The Settlers and The Harvest, by Meyer Levin. Pre state historical fiction. They are wonderful.

Perfidy by Ben Hecht
It's a must read. It deals with a court case that took place in Israel after WWII but leads up to it with the history of the Jews returning to settle their land in what was then called Palestine, under the Turks and then the British. It gives a perspective that you won't get outside of this book unless you can find someone 100 years old to talk to.
ETA I noticed OP asked for fiction. This book is not fiction.
