cut up fruit for shabbos and bagged romaine lettuce. I used to buy a lot of chicken tenders, but I didn't like the tendons that came attached, so recently started buying regular again.

Love this thread—we are always trying to figure out ways to outsource household labor! Our recent addition was raising our nanny’s rate a little in exchange for her doing some light tidying in between the deep cleans from our official cleaner. She also does the kid laundry.

My teacher in high school ranted through her session “women buy ready flaky dough and cherry pie filling, put it together, and bake it. Then they call themselves balebustas!! What a chutzpah!”
Since that day I try to outsource my flaky dough and cherry pie filling

Ok, not outsourcing, per say, but we invest in machinery to make things easier. For example, we have a dishwasher and washer/dryer that work well without a lot of precleaning things. I have a good stand mixer and a bread machine. I have a shredder attachment to the stand mixer that’s great for shredding cheese quickly without the cleaning effort of the food processor. I have a double oven so I can cook two things at once.

I don’t iron anything. All DH shirts are non-iron.

I don’t do the dry cleaning thing either. DH takes care of his suits but none of my stuff are dry clean. Except a rare wedding dress it outfit.

When dh started his own business, we started having an accountant do our taxes. Till then I prepared ours but barely knew what I was doing. there was no question of my doing them once a business was in the picture.

I don't grow my own food, repair my own shoes or make my own clothes.

I use aluminum pans to cook almost everything. No washing pots!
I remove the cover of a honey bottle and place it onto an oil bottle. Fits on perfectly and Pours less and easily...

I use paper goods when I need to instead of having cleaning help it's way cheaper than cleaning help and much less dishes. I only do this when desperate though. I usually like dish washing.

Cooking!

I hate it, the woman I pay to cook meals for us loves to cook. Win, win for us both!

That sounds awesome!!! My dream for one day... before cleaning help, I want a cook.
How did you find her? She advertised?

That's a great idea. How much does it cost? Does she cook by you or does she cook in her home and bring it to you?
