Were can you get a wide variety of unusual donut flavors.
Taste good
priced right ($2-3 vs $6)
And not sold out in the afternoon.

(There is a place in Baltimore that had tons of unusual flavors that my kids loved. But bec of COVID we aren’t going in looking for a substitute)

There aren’t many places that sell good donuts at that price point. And then you want the unusual flavors on top of that. You’d have to pay $6 per donut to get that in Lakewood as far as I know.

But on the plus side you’ll save on gas and mileage. It might even work out cheaper.

Lol me too.

Last year I posted about buying an $8 donut, and I got pages of controversy.

Well if you want cheap and unusual, bagel nosh sells plain donuts and you can buy various frostings, toppings and fillings.
Why don’t you turn it into a contest to make your own.
Cookie corner and zest bakery have unusual and different donuts. They’re more than $6 though.

Not sure about prices, but Broadstreet Dough Co is about 20 min from Lakewood and has a big selection with unique flavors.

Can you post the address and so you know the hechsher?

Op gelbsteins are very yummy and fresh. Typical flavors though I think they also have a dairy one.

Broadstreet Donut is under JSOR . ( The Sephardic community of the Jersey Shore). The Store is open on Shabbos. The store is not Pas Yisroel and not Cholov Yisroel. They have dairy donuts and vegan/gluten free donuts that are made on dairy equipment.

Gelbsteins has the basic yummy ones but also fancy ones. Cheaper than the other places but still not cheap!

It’s crazy. So many things in Lakewood are cheaper. But you can’t get unusual donuts for $3. Go figure
I guess ppl are willing to pay so why not...

I have a family member in the business. The unusual flavors cost more to make and aren't as popular so they need to charge more to make it worth their while.

Is the Baltimore place chalav yisroel?

They have ice cream filled donuts in sprinkles... is that unusual?
Yesterday we bought a dozen donuts that were delicious. I bought an assortment. Caramel filled, custard, chocolate with sprinkles, while icing with sprinkles, some jelly. Yes, I sampled them all and each one was extremely fresh and tasty.
I bought them at Shloimy’s kosher world. They don’t make the donuts and I’m not sure where they were from.

If you go into brooklyn royal donuts have a large section of donuts. Not so unique that it should cost $8, but different color sprinkles and more choices. Alot more fun and cheaper than what they sell in lakewood. Lakewood donuts are awful. Chanuka stopped being about buying donuts. The first few years kosher west opened they gave out free donuts.

I don’t get it. I mean what are they made of -gold? A gallon of gas is way cheaper.
Maybe I should bring some from BP
Weiss, taam eden, Shloimy’s, strauss, sesame
And so many other stores.
And they are not more than 3-4 $ a donut ( and I think that’s expensive)
But really I just want the plain old fashioned ones

You can get iced, jelly, sprinkle and custard donuts for cheap here - under $1. Bagel nosh. Gelbsteins. Aisle9. All over.
That isn’t what I’m looking for.
I’m looking for more unique flavors at a cheap price.

I know for a fact there are places in brooklyn that sell donuts for more then $8. My friend was telling me she had one in a cafe last year. Expensive donuts are not only a Lakewood thing.
