Hello everyone! I’m trying to think of a middle name to use after Chana. I would like a middle name that is a little more modern than Chana and would also work in Israel/DL community. I would like the middle name to be a positive character attribute or an inspirational person. Thank you!

Normally in an Israeli DL community the middle name isn't used at all so whatever you choose is irrelevant as far as the community is concerned. If you plan on calling her by both names, especially if the first is Chana, that's already not going to really fit in an Israeli DL community.

Not that I really believe in naming children to fit in. Unless you're planning on using something REALLY embarrassing according to community standards, personally I believe in naming your children whatever name is special to you.

Quite the opposite experience here. I know a lot of people (breslev-influenced DL, mostly) whom say you must call your child by all his names at least once a day, for Kabbalah reasons which I never understood. But it's definitely a thing.

You're right that two names are rarer. But they're not unheard of, and by no means a Breslov thing. In DS's circles, there are:
Natan Or
Tsippora Tamah
Ora Simcha
Yosef Shalom
Noam Avraham
Yosef Chaim
Mayan Emunah
Tehillah Orit
David Meir
Shmuel Meir
Noah Rachel
And many more...

So maybe it goes by region? Culture? Dunno. But it's there.

Chana Orit = bright grace
Chana Tamah = innocent/pure grace
Chana Ronit = happy grace
Chana Meira = grace which lights up/makes things clearer

Interesting. I guess in the yishuvim etc it's more common? I live in a mainstream DL community in Jerusalem and I can't offhand think of a single person I know who goes by more than one name.

Shouldn’t it be either Chana Bracha or Hannah Braha?
