I never bought that for one second. People were wag too stressed, scared, anxious and busy to make babies. I suspect the boom will be post vaccine, like a post war boom

I have a 3 month old conceived before covid started

That whole thing made no sense at all. Who had time for MORE intimacy? Everyone was home, it was so stressful (and still is for any).
I think they were talking mainly about newlyweds or couples with no kids that might have had more home time with no other human beings needing their undivided attention.
Otherwise, this literally made no sense.

If anything there were more divorces!

My friend just had a baby, but she was ttc for a few months before covid so nothing to do with it!

I’m pretty sure I read an article that in the US the birth rate is going down because of covid. But I guess frum people may be different. But honestly I don’t think frum people who got pregnant during covid made that decision because of covid. Bh I’m expecting and would have TTC even if it wasn’t covid. In fact we spoke to a rav about it at the beginning of covid and were advised to wait for a month until we saw what was happening. After a month and speaking to my doctor and rav again we got the go ahead to TTC.

According to my ob, the birth rate is going down because of Covid. Some of the reasons include placenta issues, still births, miscarriages, and other issues. Plus, a lot of people don’t want to risk it, so they don’t get pregnant, which adds to the lower birth rate.
There are also the people who are too stressed, have rocky marriages, don’t have time for intimacy, etc

The hospital I work at has seen a baby boom, in particular more premature babies as well. Our NICU has also been beyond capacity (over 115% full for a while, which is scary because we are the highest level regional NICU).

During a snow storm more babes are made
During a hurricane less babes are made so is Covid a snow storm or a hurricane?

Im due in January so yes I conceived during covid but I never understood the joke. We were ttc before covid came along and had way less time and energy to be together once covid hit.

My baby is almost 5 weeks born late, however, I was pregnant before the Covid lockdowns in the US.

Not happening post vaccine since you're not supposed to get pregnant for certain amount of time after you get vaccinated....

I just had a baby a few days ago!
I remember going to the Mikvah in March as Covid was just becoming a "thing" and asking if the tubs are thoroughly disinfected.
