Im looking for a laidback neighborhood - Not too yeshivish, chassidish or fancy/peer pressure.

We are-out-of-town-ish colored shirt type. I really want to live somewhere where we can fit in.

Does such an area exist? In Lakewood itself?

Wondering about this too. What is Lakewood in general? Peer pressure, fancy clothes etc

Is everybody always all dressed up in their wigs whenever they go outside or it’s ok to go to the grocery store in a tichel?

I'm looking to rent. I don't think there's much in raintree for renters?

We are actually looking for the same but we are looking for a younger community, similar to raintree. But also looking for larger homes...does that exist?
Op there may be homes for rent if you check out the masa umatan

I think most of the younger crowd is moving out to Jackson or Toms River.

Albert area might be younger people and higher homes. Near Sommerset walk.

To the poster who asked: 80-90% of women in Lakewood will not enter a store in a tichel/snood. They would wear that outside their home when shmoozing to friends on the block, some even on shabbos- but not if they are going into a store or other destination.

I am among the 10-20% that wears a tichel and even sneakers often.

There are barely any young people buying in Lakewood. Basically all Jackson and TR. there are a lot of neighborhoods in both of those places that you should fit into.

That’s true but you do need to be careful about the neighborhoods there too.
