So to add to the BY seminaries in Israel discussion, can someone differentiate the difference in these seminaries. These were the three my daughter was told to apply to. I would like to narrow it down since each seminary is asking approx $125+
Deposit.
My daughter is a frum in town BY girl. Pulls A’s and B’s in most grade. She works hard for her marks and does well but def not top of her grade.
She’s happy, interested in growing and tends to hang out with the more frum oot girls.
I would love to hear recent input about these seminaries

I think all three are good options for your dd but Kesser Chaya would be top of the list if she likes OOT type girls. It’s run by OOTers and has a very warm, growth-oriented atmosphere.

Thank you. We first thought so but she got a little scared from their zoom open house. They were stressing that they want smart academic girls. She got scared that even though it seems they attract girls on her level, that’s not what they want. She said it won’t feel good to be in a place where they are disappointed with their student body?
Does anyone know if that’s true?
I’ve heard really wonderful things about them otherwise.

When I went to BYA, more than half the girls there were exactly how you describe your daughter. That was several years ago, though.

I would take what you hear at the open houses with a grain of salt. They get nice sweet smart girls but not A students and it’s a great place. I know 5 girls applying there this year and all of them sound similar to your daughter. Hatzlocha!

Thank you everyone for your replies. Seminar def switched their crowd to more yeshivish and I think more academic. Can someone confirm if that’s true?
