Where can I go on my own for a getaway? Not looking for a flashy vacation, just a calm trip to restore myself a little. Something spiritually enriching would be good but nothing too high strung or intense. Maybe just someplace to go where I could spend time with someone or a small group that’s warm and inviting. I don’t know what I’m looking exactly but I need something. COVID makes it tricky of course so maybe it’s not even possible. Help?

If you find a friend or family member to join you, you can buy food and go to a hotel or airbnb . would be a bit creepy and depressing to yourself I would think. If you want not to have to think abt food, you'd have to go a jewish place (I've heard some ladies go with friends to Laisha in lakewood - really a mother/postbaby place, but you can go there just to get the hotel/food kindof thing) dont know offhand any other jewish places you can go unless its an official event.

I'm desperate for a getaway but we don't have where to leave the kids so DH is urging me to go by myself. I'm scared to go to Florida or any hotel by myself so I'm thinking of going to Mei Menuchos hotel in Monroe. It's adults only and they give food. Maybe I'd look into La'isha as well.

Laisha - idk - I went after a baby a yr ago. but I heard from someone there recently that you go with friends, there were some while she was there not post baby. they just went to get a break - its like a 5 star hotel, with delicious kosher food. very relaxing. Due to covid only minimal amount of ladies allowed and no sharing rooms maybe like 15 total. so you prob have to reserve ahead of time.

They allow vacationing women to walk around the place together with the postpartum women? If I'd be there postpartum, I wouldn't appreciate that.
