Nothing that needs internet connection.
Does this still exist?
I want to buy a few games for my kids to use on their non internet computer.
Kids are ages 7-15.

Any suggestions and links are welcome!

They do exist but it is not really a thing anymore... most people have a console like Xbox or Playstation. I know lots of frum families with one. Anyhoo good games are: Rollercoaster Tycoon, Football Manager, Fifa and minecraft (only download). Roller coaster Tycoon is basically pretty outdated.

Download and burn the .iso files to CD.
You may need to run some of these on an old computer or an emulator.

These are all ancient, but they're still fun:

Roller Coaster Tycoon

Amazon Trail

Cluefinders

Liberty's Kids

Freddi Fish

Can you connect the computer to internet. Download the games to work offline. Then remove the internet connection again?

Just a warning that many old computer games will not run on new computers.

I found a bunch of nostalgic game CDs at a thrift shop and assumed things for Windows 97 must run on Windows 10, right? Backwards compatibility and all? But they didn’t work.

Like amother Ginger said above, you might need an emulator (software or hardware that allows you to run a guest Operating System), or to run it on a decades-old computer.

I found the following games for download through the internet, but once downloaded to my Windows 10 computer, they can run without an internet connection:

On Steam:
- All the Humongous Games (Freddi Fish, Pajama Sam, Putt Putt, Spy Fox, etc.)
- Logical Journey of the Zoombinis (also available on Amazon, so you can put it on a kindle)

On myabandonware.com:
- Jump Start Third Grade (the one with Botley!) https://www.myabandonware.com/.....n-cm8
- I haven’t gotten anything else from this website to work, though, so proceed at your own risk

Man, I really miss the days of computer games on disk. No weird ads that are out of my control, no internet access to purchase game coins with real money... just a nice self-contained package.
