Milka is not a chassidish name and it's not a different way of pronouncing Malka. It's a name from Tanach like paperflowers and tigerwife said, and there are two different women who had the name. It's spelled the same as Malka but with a chirik under the mem so it's pronounced Milka not Malka.

It's not quite as bad as Itchy for Yitzchak, but it's not a great nickname.

But tranny takes the cake.

Just because you're not used to a name or never heard of it, doesn't mean that you have right to mock it. Trany is a regular name in some communities.

My friend's brother married a girl name Milka. The family made a t-shirt with a picture of him with a milk mustache and holding a cup of milk that had a picture of her inside.
The caption said: I've Got Milk-a!

Mod note - it is NOT ok to make fun of other names. I am leaving the name up in your post so others can see that someone is standing in defense of it. No, it is not a name I have ever heard as it is not common at all where I live. Does that mean its game to make fun of it? I noted how you are posting this as amother, so you must not want us to know even your username.

This thread is not to turn into a making fun of names thread. We are better than this.

Yes, there were 2 Milkas in Tanach. There were also 2 Tamars, at least 2 Shauls, and at least one but I think 2 Yehudits besides the one who slew Hollow Furnace (her story is apocryphal and didn't make the final cut in the Who Wants to be a Book of the Tanach? contest).
