Could someone tell me about the custom of arbes on Shabbos/where it comes from or means? I understand what it means by a sholom zachor, that's why I am all the more confused about why there is a custom to have them on Shabbos....
For families that keep this minhag, is it for Friday night meal or Shabbos day?
And what is up with lima beans? Is it just that they are delicious or do they have some meaning, too?, I notice oftentimes they are served together and in the stores you can buy them in shabbos combo packs.
And what the heck is up with men eating them with their fingers? Why??? lol
