We are thinking of moving to Passaic. Yeshivish open-minded type. DH working, wears white shirts/black pants, koveia itim.
Can you give names of shuls and rabbonim that might work for us?
How do we figure out if it's a Rav that we can work well with? We need a sensitive and understanding Rav who will answer shailos while considering the whole situation, not cookie-cutter (we've had bad experiences before).

We're in our mid-20s, so preferably a younger crowd.
We're pretty American, not so "yeshivish" in that sense. More very frum than very yeshivish.
DH is looking for guys whom he can both learn with and hang out/play games with, ideally.
We'd prefer a Rav who can get to know us and understand our background, not just the Rav to say good Shabbos to.

We daven at Ahavas Isreal , Rabbi Eiesenman is the rav there it sounds like what you are looking for

Sounds like R Aharon Cohens shul would be great fit crowd wise and Rav wise ( no not tiferes, I’m referring to the one on Broadway )
