Can I mix 10 lb flour at once in the bosch machine?
I want to do a double 5 lb recipe challah but want to avoid the double work😌.
Any chance I can get away with it?

A) you'll probably break your machine--its not meant to handle such a heavy load
B) it will make a huge mess. It won't fit in the bowl
C) it probably won't come out right. You're going to be giving yourself MORE work. Make the dough, transfer to another bowl or surface, then make the 2nd batch.

The bosch can handle 7lbs of flour at most.

Another question is how big will your challos be? I make about 8 lbs. of dough (1.5x my normal batch). I get about 16 small challos out of that. I can bake 8 at a time in my oven, leaving half the shaped challos in the fridge till the first batch is about half way through. If I'd make more, I'd have to do 3 rounds of baking.

the most the Bosch does is 7 lbs. And even then I add the last pound of flour after I begin mixing the dough

How big is your family K”H that you need 10 lb challah?
Or alternatively, how much freezer space do you have?
