I never got the food boxes before and I'm totally confused by it.
I have two little children - both are not in school. I live in Lakewood.
Can you all be so kind to help me out?
Am I eligable? Where and when and how can I get a food box? Do I have to sign up?

I feel like everyone has this information that I'm somehow missing....

I don't know about all the locations, but I can tell you this much. You are eligible for 2 full week boxes. Some locations only give out weekend boxes (someone whose kids go to school but dont get lunch on fri, shabbos and sunday can get those). Your kids don't get lunch all week. Someone gives out weekly boxes in Pine park from 2-4 pm on Thursday. you do not need to sign up beforehand. While you are waiting in line they will give you a paper to fill out how many kids you are picking up for. You can see other distributions on hefkervelt. (Google the blog)
