I really want to lose 20lbs and feel like I lost the internal motivation, so instead I need external accountability. Anyone have a good nutritionist to recommend? I’m looking for someone who can work virtually, won’t break the bank, and can help create a balanced realistic plan for me. Experience with PCOS is a plus. Any personal recommendations?

Friends used SHani Taub from Lkwd and were thrilled.

Ask your Pcp. I see someone through insurance in my state. No reason to go private before you try that route . Many insurances have started covering weight loss services because it saves them money when people are healthier.

You should be looking for a Registered Dietitian, not a Nutritionist. My neighbors dog can legally be a nutritionist, it is not a licensed term.
What is the price point when you say not break the bank?

Right I know I said nutritionist, RD is obviously more qualified but I would use a nutritionist as well with good recommendations.
Price wise, I honestly don’t know what is out there or how pricing generally how it works. My comment was to show that this is important to me and I will pay as needed, but I am “making it work” financially so I want to be responsible. I’m not looking for one of the plans where you need to buy their products in order to eat low calorie meals, etc.

Rita Singer in Clifton NJ is great. She does have the option of telehealth now. She takes insurance.
