I thought this might be helpful to fellow mommies so I decided to make a new thread. Smile

Here's what I posted in a current thread:

Quote:
You can find used books online for a good price. Abebooks.com has a nice selection if you search by publisher. Put in Targum, Feldheim, Menucha, Tfutza, Artscroll, etc.

https://www.abebooks.com/book-.....chai/

https://www.abebooks.com/book-.....heim/

https://www.abebooks.com/book-.....shop/

https://www.abebooks.com/book-.....ucha/

https://www.abebooks.com/book-.....rgum/

https://www.abebooks.com/book-.....roll/

https://www.abebooks.com/book-.....utza/

https://www.abebooks.com/book-...../cis/

https://www.abebooks.com/book-.....ress/

These search pages are sorted by price, low to high, so keep going and you'll find lots of children's books.

There's also bookfinder.com, where you can put in the name of any book and the site will scrub the internet and give you the website where it's sold for the lowest price.

Edited: somehow the links got messed up when I copied this, but I just fixed them.

Here are some pages from bookfinder.com, which searches for the least expensive results from across the internet. I tried to search by publisher, but they may not have caught every single book.

https://www.bookfinder.com/sea.....19:28

https://www.bookfinder.com/sea.....2:589

Maybe I'll do some more searches later.

If you have any links of your own to contribute, please add! Smile

Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/s?k=hac.....om-20

Amazon is a much harder site to search on.

Also if you're cool with ebooks, the library app hoopla has some picture books from Jewish publishers. Obs you can screen them first if you worry about haskafic stuff.

I've bought many frum books for cheaper on Amazon, in the used section. Most of the "used" things on Amazon are in perfect condition.

Go to your library's website and see if they subscribe to Hoopla Digital. If they do, you'll log in with your library card and look under ebooks.

Thanks!
For non-Jewish books, I was very successful at thriftbooks.com
They are second hand books from as low as $3.99/book. Free shipping on orders over $10
I bought a lot of children’s books/classics from thriftbooks and was very happy

It would be great if you could link to some of the specific books, though. Do you think you could put some up here?

Search "kar ben" (it's the name of a Jewish book publisher) and a bunch pop up. We read a few Chanukah ones around Chanukah time. I can't post links since I'm looking in the app.
