Does anyone have a shopping list from previous years they can share? Trying to compile a shopping list so I can do all my shopping at once. I know I'm missing things. Please share the items you bought perishable, non perishable, paper goods, etc. Gebrocks. Tia

Don’t have a list to share but in previous years I used to save all my receipts from the prior year for an idea of what I needed as well as to see the elevated costs from year to year

I think the list that ra_mom put together looks good. Motzei pesach I always make a list of “have” and “need” for the following year. If you’re putting away anything for next year, write it down in the “have” column. If you need something or just a number of how much you used, write it on the “need” column

Klp parchment paper. Muffin tin liners (cupcake papers) if needed.

Whole nuts ( with shells) for snacking, almonds, filberts.

Romaine lettuce/endive leaves for marror & salads closer to Pesach

Kosher salt
Whole Black pepper balls
Ground black pepper
Any other spices used

Some sort of besamim you use for Pesach. Not everyone uses cloves

There is klp soft scrub, cleanser, oven grease remover spray, silver polish, shabbos dish soap if you use these on Pesach dishes/surfaces.

Steel wool/scours/shabbos scrub balls made from coils or plastic not to squeeze like sponges.
I like pink thick rag like paper towel to use instead of shmattes for counters or heavy spills
Some people buy new brooms/dustpans sold in groceries

10 crumbs for bedikas chometz tightly packed is sold as well

Relax candle holders they have metal safety ones for yom tov when you can't stick candles

Heavy rubber & reg gloves ( they have klp for food handling )
Hand sanitizers without alcohol.

If you want home made grape juice- "must" sold or grapes to make your own

plastic jug bottles if you do your own juices.

Ball jars for compotes/soups/borschts/beet salads/cucumber salads or if you use disposable plastic ones are fine too but those can't stay out of fridge

Bibs/smocks

Dish towels/cloths

Make sure to have enough knives & peelers

I didn't realize some people use a specific candle for holidays that start motzei shabbos! That's really interesting. We just use the holiday licht already lit for havdalah (edit: Chabad holds this way).

It's one candle with two wicks in it. Small because you can't put out the candle.
I don't know if you can use shabbos/yom tov lights for other purposes
It's also another way to make money

Make a menu first so you can figure out what ingredients you need & for how many people

I like to buy butternut squash to make soup
Spaghetti squash to make low carb yerushalmi type of kugel
Kolrabi you can use for fries or instead of cabbage if you use only peeled like for cabbage/noodles or cole slaw

Klp sweeteners instead of sugar
Hot cocoa packets
Chammomile/Senna teas
Klp tums/mylanta
Klp tylenol/benadryl

I have an Excel spreadsheet.

First page is who's coming when so I know how many ppl each meal.

One page for butcher order. One page for produce. One page for grocery.
Also notes how much wine, grape juice & matza we bought, for how many adults & how many children, and if it was too much or too little.

One page for things to replace e.g. usually I buy a new Teflon frying pan or the like for Pesach & then make it chometzdik. Need another washing cup. Or another tablecloth.

Try to look at that list early (is it still early?) so I can shop around for a sale...

On one page I draw a calendar with weeks and what I hope to accomplish each day. Always including some catch-up days of course.

My goals is always to turn over the Motzai Shabbos before (because of not using the hot water over Shabbos) unless YT is very early in the week in which case maybe a week early. (We made two brissin a day or two before Pesach, one a son and one a grandson.)

But we're not big chometz eaters at all so we don't mind. I like to cook at my leisure, not under pressure. Though it often doesn't work.
