Oh, I feel so bad they had to admit to their true colors.

I wasn't convinced one way or another. But I was very wary of those who would vehemently oppose such a theory. They seemed more committed to the ideology of it than the actual probability of it.

I don't get your question. Are you asking if Trump was personally the one who investigated the origin of the virus and informed us of his findings? Or are you asking if information was presented to Trump and he reported to us what he believed had happened based on that information?

As a side point, is it really so strange that the president of the US would have some secret intel that would provide him insight that no one else has?

Who says Biden doesn't have it? Intel is heavily guarded and often not publicized so as not to release its sources. They may be waiting for something definitive to approach it from a different angle without having to risk their sources.

And perhaps the administration does have it, and has chosen not to divulge it until their hand is forced - which is happening now do to more information coming to light?

Nobody (sane) wants to believe that China manufactured a virus to reek this amount of havoc on the US and the rest of the world. The consequences of that being the Truth would be impossible to bare.

Accidental lab accident (covered up), animal to human transmission... much more politically palpable.

Even for those who thought it was from the lab from the start, didn't really go down the deliberate rabbit hole. What the leaders were upset about was that China tried to hide it from the world, instead of focusing on containment.

I’m certain an apology, amends, and mea culpa is imminent from msm and politicians who ridiculed the very theory and people who entertained the possibility they are now admitting to today.
Though I am not holding my breath.
And while the Wuhan lab may indeed reek, its presumed possible leakage of covid and china’s subsequent coverup WREAKED havoc and death upon the world.

I believe a lab leak is likely. I also believe that it might have been accidental but then china decided to let it be a "happy" accident. It doesn't need to be intentional in order for the country to find a way to take advantage of it.

The country doesn't have a record for valuing human life in any case.

For those people in the world who were following the research in the lab way before november 2019, all along, it was an obvious place to start looking based on that labs bad safety record. And there were many people following it all along. The fact that Trump believed them just made the media act ridiculous & unprofessional.
