Wondering if anyone has some good advice for me?
People say it's important to take time for yourself and to do things you enjoy and make you feel good. Which I agree with.
I have a 3 month old baby who I am very busy with bh
So what ideas could you recommend that I do to look after myself especially in these corona times?
Right now I do a lot with the baby around and don't want to leave the baby with a babysitter.
I do zoom workshops which I enjoy when I have time, try out new recipes which I enjoy doing as well, read a bit, watch something, go to sleep when I can...
Are these good enough? Am I missing out on something?
There just aren't a lot of activities to do nowadays which are either allowed or available b/c of corona. Trying to make the best of it.
I guess my question also is - if I go on a walk with my baby in the fresh air and sit in the park with a drink and a book, is that not considered good self care if I feel refreshed afterwards, even though the baby was with me??

If it makes you feel rejuvenated and happy then yes it’s self care

To me it sounds like you’re doing amazing self care!!!
Going to the park with the baby and getting to relax sounds great - and it sounds like you are happy with it!
Going for walks or driving to a pretty lake can also.l be very nice. (It sounds like you live in a place with good weather)
One self care option that I did was download lots of audiobooks and some kindles to my phone.
All the time that I was sitting and holding baby could also be self care if I was listening to or reading a good story.

All of the things you mentioned are self care. Self care is about enjoying things for you. So you don't get all worn out feeling from doing things for other people and not taking a second to do anything relaxing or enjoyable for yourself. It can be as simple as taking a nice warm shower or bath if that is what you find relaxing.

Of course that's all self care.
For me self care with a newborn looks like this:
Good coffee
Ability to work out at night (Dh takes baby if baby is up)
Dibs for shabbos afternoon nap
Occasional good book

It's not a check list. If you like it and you feel refreshed, it's self care. What people mean is, don't get caught up in baby and forget to take care of yourself, physically or mentally.

Self care is about LIVING life. Not just walking through life in a blur (usually it's more like running through life).
You feel good? Truly enjoy life? ✅
