In your opinion what is the best foundation for smooth finish?
I've seen women in lakewood with the smoothest skin and I'm too embarrassed to ask how they achieve this.
Any advice? Recommendations?

Well the best foundation for smooth skin is..... smooth skin 
But, if you weren't blessed with this, there are smoothing primers out there to help even out any texture. I believe nyx has one(called something-veil. Any one know?)
As far as foundation goes, it is best to get one that matches with your skin type:
Moisturizing if you are dry
Less so if you are oily (and also using powder to set it)

Edith for facials.. good facial and skincare
I like nars and bobbi brown for makeup but good skincare is key

The new Nars foundation is incredible! People think I’m 10 years younger than I am- and I’m only 34 - when I wear this foundation. Make sure you use a beauty sponge for application.

Love the too faced born this way foundation

Its all a matter of preference, and based on age, skin type, and look you're going for.
My current favorites are Fenty and Il Makiage, but neither will give you that "smoothest skin" look that is almost certainly full coverage foundation. And definitely primer.

Even at my advanced age, my skin needs some blotting. I use Mac Studio Fix, which is a powder.
