It only gives instructions for a top loader and I have a front loader

Fill the machine with warm water, put the throw in for two - three minutes. Let it run the rinse cycle for 10 minutes and remove before the spin cycle.
Put into dryer for twenty minutes on air dry. Then line dry.
I basically did that just put it into my front loader for a really short timed cycle and removed it before the spin. It was soaking wet and the air spin in the dryer did basically nothing.
Now it reeks
